The Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Tate Farms. We have heard people talk about it so we decided to try it out this year. It was so much fun! They have a lot of pretty Fall displays where you can take pictures, tons of good food, a store, pumpkins galore, a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, and much more. They have a lot of stuff for kids. Avery is too young for most of it, but she will love it next year! She had a good time and was so good the whole day.

This was a train for the kids to ride. Each train car was an ear of corn! Avery was too small to ride this year, but she will love it next year!

Avery's First Beach Trip

Avery had her first trip to the beach September 9th-13th. We went to Navarre Beach, FL with my family. It was a lot of fun and a nice vacation for everyone.

Avery liked the sand, but she didn't care for the water. She would start to whimper when I put her feet in it. The beach also made her very tired. She fell asleep every time we would go. I think she had a good time. Next year she will be even more fun at the beach!

6 Months Old

Avery turned 6 months old on August 26th (I realize I'm a little late writing about it). I can't believe she is growing so fast! We will be having her first birthday party before we know it! Here are some things I want to remember about Avery at 6 months.

• She LOVES baby food! She usually eats oatmeal and fruit for breakfast and then a vegetable or fruit for dinner. The only thing so far she has refused to eat is peaches. I tasted them and they are quite sour so I don't blame her for not eating them.
• She also still loves her bottles. Her face lights up when she sees and hears us getting her bottle ready. It's so funny!
  
• She still has her one dimple...so cute!
• She likes to sleep on her stomach. When I put her in her crib at night she almost immediately rolls over.
• She's in size 3 diapers now.
• Her hair started falling out in the back so she's had some bald spots. But it's growing back pretty quickly.
• She can sit up on her own great! She loves sitting in the floor and playing with her toys. Her favorite game involves throwing all of her toys away from her so she can't reach them and then Adam and I have to go get them for her :)
• She has a new face that she makes where she sucks her bottom lip. Adam calls it her "crab face." Here are some pictures of her "crab face."

• She has recently starting putting her feet in her mouth every time she lays on her back.
