Avery and Mia
Avery got to spend some time with her cousin Mia this week. Mia is about 5 months younger than Avery. I hope that they become great friends! I think they will definitely get into a lot of trouble together!

Miss Independent
Avery is 11 months old today! It's hard to believe. I look at her and can't believe how big she is! She has such a great personality and we learn something new about her about every day. She is also getting more and more independent.
- She is done with baby food! She will only eat things that she can feed herself. If we try to feed her, she'll swat our hands away.
- She's like her mom and likes carbs :) She loves to eat pasta, Cheerios, crackers, puffs, etc.
- She's like her dad and likes snacks. She would rather eat a bunch of snacks than eat a meal.
- She loves to stick out her tongue.
- She's getting her first haircut on February 12th. You can tell in this picture that she needs it! We're not getting it cut much, just evened out a little. She has some pieces that are past her shoulders and then a bunch of short newer hair so sometimes it looks crazy. We love it, though!
- She's a little monkey and likes to climb on everything...especially her pink chair.

Christmas
We had a lot of fun this Christmas. It's a different experience when you have a child. We enjoyed watching Avery play with her toys and with our families.
Since we were in Gadsden on Christmas Eve, Santa came to our house a little early this year :)
Look, presents!
What did Santa bring me?
Checking out my presents...Silly Town, a baby doll and a new pair of shoes!

These next two are Avery with both of her great grandmothers (Adam's grandmothers)
We went to Noccalula Falls to see the Christmas lights and ride the train. It was COLD, but very fun!
Riding the train.
Avery fell asleep right after this picture and slept the rest of the time we were there.

Orbix Hot Glass
On Saturday, we went to Orbix to make a blown glass Christmas ornament. It was so much fun. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere and it's amazing! We plan on going back and making an ornament every year. It will be exciting when Avery is old enough to make her own.

This is where they put the ornaments right after they're made. They will mail our ornament to us this week.

Our ornament will look like these. We got to pick 2 colors for ours...we did bright turquoise and yellow.
The rest of the pictures are from the store. They are pieces they made there that are for sale. Everything there was so pretty!

It Snowed!
We woke up this morning to snow! It wasn't much, but it was enough to cover the ground. It was also all melted by about 10:00 but it was fun while it lasted! This is actually the second time it has snowed since Avery has been here. It snowed the day after we brought her home from the hospital. Of course she was too small to experience it then. But this time we took her outside and let her see what it was all about. I thought she might freak out because it was so cold but she really liked it. She touched it and thought it was fun!
