Playing at the Park

We took advantage of this BEAUTIFUL weekend and took Avery to a local park. It was the first time I had been there and they have an awesome playground! This was the first time Avery has played in a playground and she really liked it. We will definitely go back!

She loved swinging. She just laughed and laughed as we pushed her. It was very cute!

This was a wooden dolphin that kids could play on.

The slide was her least favorite. She wasn't too sure about it. I think she'll warm up to it next time, though.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is Avery's first Valentine's Day. We had a family Valentine's Day celebration last night. Adam and Avery bought me flowers and cards and then Adam cooked us dinner.

This is her last first holiday (other than her birthday). No more "Baby's First ____" bibs or shirts for us!

The Haircut

Today Avery had her first haircut! We didn't get it cut much in the front or on the sides, just trimmed a little to even it out. We still want her to have a feminine haircut and I want her bangs to grow out with the rest of her hair. The back was where it needed it the most and it got cut quite a bit. They joked at the salon that she now has a very stylish Victoria Beckham haircut...short in the back with long bangs in the front. I guess Avery's going to be cutting edge!

How cute! She was such a big girl and sat in the chair all by herself.

Avery does not like having her hair combed, washed or messed with. So Kathy gave her a comb to play with. It kept her occupied for a while. After she got tired of the comb and threw it on the floor, we got out her snacks and they made her happy again :)

Avery got to spend some time with her cousin Mia this week. Mia is about 5 months younger than Avery. I hope that they become great friends! I think they will definitely get into a lot of trouble together!
