Every November, the company I work for has an employee conference in Memphis (the company's headquarters). It is always a lot of fun. We stay at the Hilton (which has the most comfortable beds ever!) and also hold our conference at the Hilton. During the day we have guest speakers and can choose sessions to go to based on our interests. Then we have fun stuff to do at night. This year we even had the excitement of a bomb threat! My friend Lesley and I were about to get on the elevator to go down to the first session of the day and all of a sudden an alarm went of. Then we heard this voice saying that there was an emergency and not to use the elevators. Luckily, we were staying on the 6th floor this year (we were on the 26th last year) so we didn't have too many stairs to walk down. We had to leave the hotel and stand in the rain. Then we were told it would be a while before we could go back in the hotel because the bomob squad had to check each room in the hotel. So some of us piled in my car and went to breakfast. Then we went to Target and the Pottery Barn outlet (where I purchased a baby blanket :)) About 3 hours later we were told we could go back to the hotel. The only thing we were told is that it was an anonymous bomb threat. It was crazy! But we had fun nonetheless. Here are some pictures:
